MomUnity Helpers FAQ & Guidelines

A friendly guide to how MomUnity Helpers works today, for Hiring Moms and MomHelpers alike.

How it works right now

  • MomHelpers create profiles and propose their services, availability, and rates.
  • Hiring Moms can send requests and talk with MomHelpers through messages.
  • A submitted request is not a confirmed booking.
  • Membership billing is not open yet. Live billing will remain off until the complete subscription flow is tested.
  • Initial membership payments and renewals are nonrefundable, and routine prorated refunds are not offered. Exceptions apply when a refund is required by law or MomUnity must correct a duplicate or erroneous charge. This policy does not waive statutory rights or payment-dispute rights.
  • Hiring Moms pay MomHelpers directly; MomUnity does not process job payments.

Guidelines

1. Services

MomHelpers can offer light tidying, laundry, organizing, meal preparation, kitchen resets, and preparing the home for a new baby.

Childcare is coming soon. Medical or personal care, medication administration, hazardous work, heavy labor, illegal activity, and services requiring a professional license the MomHelper does not hold are prohibited.

2. MomUnity's role

MomUnity provides profiles, introductions, messaging, reporting tools, and access to the Helpers community. MomUnity does not employ, supervise, or direct MomHelpers' work.

Hiring Moms and MomHelpers agree directly on the work, price, schedule, payment method, cancellation terms, and household expectations before work begins.

3. Choosing a MomHelper

Hiring Moms interview MomHelpers, check references, talk through their needs, and decide whether a MomHelper is a good fit.

MomUnity has not conducted background checks. When we approve a profile, it means the profile can appear in the directory. It is not a screening or a safety guarantee.

4. Participation and conduct

MomHelpers must be at least 18 years old.

Keep profiles honest, describe services clearly, communicate respectfully, and agree on the tasks before any work begins.

Harassment, discrimination, scams, and misleading claims are not allowed.

5. Privacy

Please don't post home addresses, children's identifying information, or other sensitive personal details publicly.

Share what's needed privately, and only with the MomHelper you've chosen.

6. Reporting concerns and account action

On any MomHelper profile, signed-in members can choose "Report this profile." You can also report a member from their profile or a message thread, or reach us through the Contact page.

Our team reviews reports. MomUnity may unpublish a profile, restrict activity, suspend an account, or remove an account when conduct breaks these guidelines or puts members at risk.

In an emergency, call 911.
