Mothers share vulnerable things here. We treat that trust as the most important thing we hold.

What we collect
Account details you give us (name, email, neighborhood or ZIP code, and anything you choose to add to your profile), the content you post — help requests, offers, playdates, messages and venting sessions — and basic technical information needed to keep the service running and secure.
You may add your children's first names and age ranges. This is optional, and you control whether it is visible to other members.
How we use it
To run the village: to show your requests and offers to nearby moms, to connect you with members who share your season of life, to deliver messages and notifications, and to keep the community safe.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising on the platform.
What other members can see
Your display name, profile photo, bio, interests and what you're looking for or can help with are visible to other verified members. Your neighborhood and children's details are shown only if you turn those settings on. Your email address and exact address are never shown to other members.
In Venting Sessions you may post under your profile, a nickname or anonymously. Anonymous posts hide your identity from other members. Our safety team can look up the author of an anonymous post only when responding to a safety report or a crisis, and every such lookup is permanently recorded in our audit log.
Storage, retention and deletion
Your data is stored with our hosting and database provider using encryption in transit and at rest. You can edit or remove your content at any time. To delete your account entirely, contact us and we will remove your profile and personal content, keeping only records we are required to keep for safety and legal reasons.
Children
The MomUnity Project is for adults. Accounts are for parents and caregivers aged 18 or older. Children do not have accounts, and we ask that you never post identifying details about a child, including schools, addresses or full names.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
